Writing lesson plans,
completing Medicaid forms, providing screening and
testing for all students referred, writing goals,
attending IEPT (Individual Educational Planning
Team) meetings, conducting therapy to meet goals,
writing progress reports, and attending staff
meeting. Who has time to create or individualize
activities for our students? Out of my frustration
this book began. In an attempt to simplify my
life, I began creating activities that would not
only meet the needs of my students but teach
multiple skills, and of course, be FUN
too!!! Also, these activities can be loaned
to the teachers for use in the classrooms, so
goals can be reinforced outside of the therapy
room. Don’t worry if pieces are lost, they can be
replaced at a very reasonable
price.
Get 3 to 6 people together and
give each invited guest a list of needed materials
for 1-2 activities. Cut, print, and paste until
you have all the activities you chose to use. And
don’t forget to socialize, brainstorm, and have
fun. Snacks are good too!
